You can delete your A1 account and your data at any time. This page explains how.
Option 1: Delete instantly in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly inside the A1 app — no need to contact anyone:
Open A1 → go to Profile → Account → Delete Account. Confirm, and your account and your data are deleted immediately, apart from the few items listed under “What may be retained” below. This is fully self-service and doesn’t require reaching out to us.
Option 2: Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, or can’t access your account, you can request deletion by emailing support@a1appp.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”. Please include the email address or phone number associated with your account so we can verify and locate it.
We’ll process email requests within a reasonable time after verifying your identity.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account removes your profile, photos and posts, the job listings you created, your copy of your conversations including every message you received, the files you uploaded such as CVs, documents and voice notes, the location attached to your profile or your posts, and any other personal information associated with your account.
What may be retained
Messages you have already sent to other people. These stay in the recipient’s chat history and are not removed when you delete your account, in the same way an email you have already sent stays in the recipient’s inbox. Your profile is deleted, so those messages are no longer linked to a profile anyone can open.
Backup copies. Deleted data is purged from our backups within 30 days.
Safety records. Reports and blocks filed against the account are kept for up to 12 months so that we can protect other users.
Records we must keep by law. Kept only where the law requires it, and only for the period the law requires.
Nothing else is retained. Retained data is not used for any other purpose and is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed.
